i'm not a big fan of the current trend where young people (a group that i include myself in, regardless of how old i actually am) talk bad about the church. i think that is a dangerous path to venture down and will probably be a future blog topic. however, when you read quotes like the one below, it is easy to see why the younger generation is so dissatisfied with the state of the western church. i saw an ad in a magazine for a church sign company that quoted a pastor as saying, "Year to date, we're up over 100 percent. The sign by far is the number one reason."

i emailed the sign company and plan on emailing the pastor and magazine sometime this week. if i hear back from them. i will add their replies to the comment section.
